French toast: They call it the 'Bombay toast'

Hey readers! with our busy lives, all we need is good and healthy food in front of us without much effort. There are so many to try which provide all the nutrients including protein, fiber and vitamins instead of grabbing that instant ramen or frozen food or a boring salad. Try this! it just takes 5 minutes!


I still remember this treat where in my 5th standard, one of my friends brought this snack where it includes a toasted bread which is rich yellow in colour. It tasted sweet, crunchy, eggy with a cinnamon aroma and slight touch of rich butter. I ran to my mom after school and described it and requested it for next day's morning breakfast. Next day, my dad, mom and I tried it by soaking bread in egg mixture and fried it with butter. It was a success! 😋😁 It tasted just like my friends'.

So! Let's just try this aand also, if you are an amateur cook, this is justt for ya!

There are two ways to make it. The sweet version and savoury version. I'm making it in sweet version. In savoury, there won't be much difference. You just have to add spices instead of sugar and milk.

you just need:


  1. Bread slices/ Brown bread
  2. 3 eggs
  3. salt
  4. sugar
  5. cinnamon, milk ( optional)
  6. butter.
Without much ado, let's make these!

Step 1: In a bowl, Crack the eggs. Add 2 spoons sugar, (some cinnamon powder  and 3 spoons milk (optional)). Then, mix everything thoroughly.




Step 2: Pour the egg mixture in a plate and spread it on bread slices on both sides.





Step 3: Add 1 spoon butter/ Olive oil in a pan and add these slices immediately. Fry them on both sides.





Voila! Your french toast is ready!




Serve it with some butter/ Honey/ Maple syrup and with some fruits.
