Homemade Pizza and Marinara sauce

hey mini chefs! What's going on? Ever wondered how to make a pizza base without using dough and all purpose flour? like you must have come across cauliflower base, tortilla base, omelette base, noodles base, bread base, taco base etc and an easy method for marinara sauce? Check the recipe here if you are searching for easy yet a tasty pizza with minimal home ingredients which you can easily find. Without much ado, let's start.


You just need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 brown bread slices/ white/ milk bread
  • Dried or fresh herbs/ condiments: Basil, Oregano, Parsley- 1 spoon each
  • garlic powder/ minced garlic
  • 4 tomatoes
  • Olive oil/ any oil
  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chilli powder/ chilli flakes
  • cheese: Mozzarella/ cheddar/ processed/ Parmesan/ Vegan Parmesan 
  • Veggies: tomato, onion, bell pepper/ egg plant/ olives
Procedures:

MARINARA SAUCE:

Step 1: Take the tomatoes and heat them in water till they become soft on stove for 10 minutes.



Step 2: Cool them down, discard the water and peel down the skin. Add them to blender and make paste out of them.



Step 3:Now, in a pan, add 1 spoon of oil, add 1 chopped onion and garlic bits. Fry them. Now add the tomato paste and cook till it gets thick. Add the herbs mentioned above and turn off the stove once it gets reduced. Transfer it into an airtight container and store it for future use for pasta, pizza etc












PIZZA BASE:

Step 1: In a bowl, beat 2 eggs and add a pinch of salt, pepper and oregano. Whisk it and keep it aside. And chop some vegetables and roast them.



Step 2: Take 3 bread slices and remove sides. Dip the slices in egg mixture and immediately place them on a plate as shown below and press gently into a round shape and cut the waste. Be Careful here! Make it gently.







Step 3: Turn on the stove. Add 2 spoons of  butter in a non stick pan and add this base and cook it for 6 mins on low/ medium flame. Make sure it doesn't burn. 





ASSEMBLING: 

Step 4: Now turn it to other side and put it on low flame. Now spread the marinara sauce, add stir fried veggies ( you can fry the veggies first by shallow frying them for 2 mins as shown below. This is optional.) and add cheese of your choice. Put the lid on pan for 4 minutes and turn off the stove.






Add butter to sides if required.





That's it! Take the pizza off the stove, cut and serve! 😀😄
